Ipsy Unboxing- January 2015

Hi! So today I have my first unboxing of the new year. Ipsy is a monthly beauty box subscription that costs $10 per month. Each month you receive 4-5 full size or deluxe sized products and a makeup bag. This is my favorite beauty box subscription service because you get some brands you recognize and some you don't know.

The makeup bag is cute this month, with a pink zipper and is white on one side and royal blue on the other side.

Mojito Lip Balm- This is a clear lipgloss/ chapstick. It is a little sticky (not to bad though), but I still love this item. You can layer a chapstick, lipstick, and then add this for a little shine without messing up the color.
Price- $12

PacificaNatural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow- This is a pretty big single eyeshadow. You cannot buy single eyeshadows, but you can buy them in a palette. The shade is a pearly, sparkly, pigmented light brown/ skin color. This could be an everyday color or built up for a night out color.
Price- Could not find (eyeshadows not sold personally)

Hikari CosmeticsMechanical Eye Liner- So here is another eyeliner (I am not a huge eyeliner fan) and I feel like every other month I receive a eyeliner from Ipsy. It is a twist up eyeliner and is a [faint] sparkly silver shade. I personally do not know how often I will wear this eyeliner.
Price- $13

La Fresh Eco-BeautyBe Good. Good Day. Day Moisturizer- This is a daily face moisturizer. It is supposed to hydrate your skin and make it look fresher and happier. For the size of the packet, there is not a lot of product. I personally do not like receiving skincare items in Ipsy, because I already have a set routine.
Price- $40

Velvet 59 Velvet Rose Lipgloss- This is a lipgloss with a brush applicator. It is quite sticky, which is why I tend to not wear lipglosses. This is a mauvey shade with a slight pinky undertone and is pretty sheer, so it is good for everyday.
Price- $19

Here is a swatch of the lipgloss, eyeliner, and eyeshadow.

Overall price of bag- $84 (minus the eyeshadow) and I only paid $10!

Thanks for reading! Did you get an Ipsy bag?

Ipsy Unboxing- December 2014

Ipsy Unboxing

Hi! Today I have my Ipsy beauty box unboxing/ review for the month of December. This may be a little late, but I just got my box 2 days ago. This is a monthly beauty box subscription that costs $10 per month. Each month you receive 4-5 full size or deluxe sized products. This is my favorite beauty box subscription service.

Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush- This is a double ended eyeshadow brush and I love getting brushes in Ipsy. The brush is really soft and kinda stiff. One end is a pointed crease brush and the other end is a wide lid brush.
Price- I could not find one (I will guess $10)

NYX Cosmetics Butter Lip Balm- This is a bright pink chapstick. The color can be really sheer, or layered to look like a lipstick. I like this product because it moisturizes my lips while giving them a little color.                                   Price- $4

Pixi Fairy Dust- This is a powder eyeshadow. There is an applicator in the powder that you are supposed to use to apply the eyeshadow. The color is a pretty rosy color, but when you put the eyeshadow on there is a lot of fallout because it is just a straight powder eyeshadow.       Price- $10

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara- I actually already own this mascara andlove it. So I will probably use this when I travel or just use it when my mascara runs out.                                         Price- $20

Beauty Without Cruelty A.H.A. 3% Facial Cleanser- This is a facewash that is for normal to oily skin. I personally am not a big fan of getting skin care stuff in my bag. I have a skincare routine already.             Price- $12

Overall price of bag- $56 (I only paid $10)

So overall this bag is pretty good. I am excited to try the makeup brush, Chapstick, and see how the eyeshadow works. Thanks for reading and comment what you got in your Ipsy bag or if you don't receive Ipsy what you would like in one.

Ipsy November 2014- Review

Hi! Today I have a review for the Ipsy subscription service bag. This is a monthly beauty box subscription that costs $10 per month. Each month you receive 4-5 full size or deluxe sized products.

1) Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil- This is an olive shimmery eyeliner. I typically do not wear eyeliner just cause it is an extra step that I am not very good at. But this is smooth and pigmented pretty good.
Price: $17

2) J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint- This is a lip paint (or tar) and IS EXTREMELY PIGMENTED. The bottle is a squeeze bottle so I guess you either use a brush or your finger. The color is a bright pinky red and I don't think I will really use this color because I normally just use a chapstick and maybe a lipgloss.
Price: $5

3)  It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye- This product is a concealer and it matches my skin almost perfectly. It is supposed to be a full coverage concealer, which I really like cause I am not a big fan of foundation. The quality feels good and like it will cover really good.
Price: $24

4) SeaRx Skincare- This is a moisturizer. I received 2 of these, but 1 of them exploded in the bag. I personally do my like getting skincare samples. I have a set skincare routine that works for me.
Price: $32

5) Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan of Volume Shine Hairspray- This is a travel size hairspry. I like getting these travel hairsprays cause they are useful and I travel a lot.
Price: $8

Overall I am excited for the concealer and eyeliner. The hairspray is ok. I do not like the moisturizer and the lip tar is to pigmented. Ipsy this month was pretty good. Below is a swatch of the eyeliner and lip tar.

Ipsy October 2014- Review

Ipsy Bag- October 2014 Review
Hi! Today I have a review for the Ipsy subscription service bag. This is a monthly beauty box subscription that costs $10 per month. Each month you receive 4-5 full size or deluxe sized products.

1) City Color be Matte Lip Color- This is a matte lipstick. It is in the shade cappuccino (M7) and is a natural pinky color with a brownish undertone. I personally do not like the color very much.
Price: $5

2) ECRU New York Acacia Protein BB Cream Beauty Balm for Hair- This is a hair styling product hat you put in wet hair and then style your hair. I have never heard of BB creams for your hair so this will be interesting.
Price: $30

3) Figs and Rouge Hand Cream- This lotion is in the scent rose berry. I have heard of this brand, but never used any products from this brand. This is a nice hand cream that I will probably put on at night. It has a kinda like a fruity and smell, which I am not a big fan of. The texture is like sticky and a thin lotion.
Price: $7

4) Jesse's Girl Mineralized Baked Shadow Powder- This product is a bright green with a swirl of yellow in it. I normally don't wear bright colors like this, but maybe for a party, Halloween, or just dressing up. This is super pigmented, with just one swipe I get a ton of color. I only wish this color were a more everyday wearable color.
Price: $4

5) Skyn Iceland Mini Glacial Cleansing Cloths- These are face cleansing wipes. This will be nice for those nights when I really don't want to wash my face, but know I should. I am really excited to try these out because I love good face wipes.
Price: $15

Overall this month's box is ok. I am excited for the face wipes and hair product. I am not a big fan of the lipstick and lotion. Hopefully this review helps.

Ipsy September 2014- Review

Ipsy Bag Review- September 2014

Hi! Ipsy is a monthly beauty bag subscription service. You get 5 full size, or deluxe size, products and a cute makeup bag. Plus, the bag is only $10 per month! This box is an awesome way to try new products, or ones you might never have chosen.

1) Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Polish Top Coat and Red Color- This is a gel nail polish that does not need a light. I used this top coat and it made my nails not chip for a week. Also, the brush is more of a rectangle then circle so it gets most of your nail in on swipe.                                           Price- $15
2) Cailyn Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss- This lip gloss is in  the shade 09 basic instinct. It is SUPER pigmented and is a natural brown/ pink-ish color.

 Price: $19

3)  Be a Bombshell Smooth Face Powder- This is a translucent powder. It has a cornstarch like texture and looks like it will keep my face very matte.
Price- $12

4) Pacifica Natural Minerals Brown Eyeliner- This is a creamy eyeliner that could be easily smudged out or made into a solid line. Also, this eyeliner claims it is waterproof.                                  Price: $11

5) Briogeo Don't Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask- This is a hair mask that has a faint fruity smell. It smells really good should hopefully make my hair super soft.             Price: $26

Overall this box was very good and I was pretty happy with it this month. Total cost of box- $83
