What's in my Travel Makeup Bag

Hi! So today I have what makeup I bring with me on vacations. Depending on where[/ how long] I am going I may not bring all of this, but this is just the basic stuff I tend to bring with me. If you would like me to do a what I bring for toiletries then just tell me in the comments.
I got the makeup bag from Ulta, but unfortunately it is discontinued. It has a zipper pocket and 2 detachable pouches (1 see through and 1 with a pattern). Also, it has a brush/ mascara/ eyeliner storage spot. It is pretty small, but can fit a lot of stuff and is blue/ green stripes
I'm sure you could find similar ones at Ulta, or any beauty store.
I bring my Naked Basics Palette everywhere because it has neutral everyday colors and a brow color. I can get many looks with this palette and it is really small and portable.
For bronzer I packed my Pop Beauty bronzer which is nice for contouring or just warming up your face.
I brought my favorite powder by Rimmel, which gives my face some coverage and keeps it matte all day
So I cannot wear eyeshadow without using an eyeshadow primer and my favorite [surprisingly] is by Urban Decay.
I always bring tweezers because you never know when you may need to fix your eyebrows or get dead skin.
I'll be honest and say I am terrible at eyeliner, but I packed my Urban Decay black eyeliner to tightline my upper lash line to make my eyelashes look fuller.
So I packed 2 lipcolors, one in a light pink color by Pixi and a sheer red color by Clinique in the shade strawberry, which are my 2 daily colors.
So I packed a single eyeshadow in a champagne, sparkly color by Jcat.
I also packed some oil absorbing sheets to fix my face throughout the day cause my face can get super oily.
To help my makeup last all day I bring my favorite face primer: BareMinerals face primer

I bring lots of q-tips for fixing my makeup and cleaning my ears (lol).
When I travel I like to bring a couple of versatile small pieces of jewelry like rings, necklaces, earrings (mostly from Tillys and Forever 21). Even though I don't really where jewelry when on vacation.

Next is a makeup brush holder in the bag.

I pack 2 mascaras one by Tarte and another by Maybelline. These are 2 really great mascaras for length and volume.
My eyebrows are a little crazy so I always have to bring my eyebrow lifesaver, NYX clear eyebrow gel.
So I try to bring the least amount of makeup brushes possible so here are what I bring:
Elf eyeshadow brush, Bare Escentuals bronzer, face powder, and blending eyeshadow brush and my Smashbox brow brush.

Ipsy Unboxing- January 2015

Hi! So today I have my first unboxing of the new year. Ipsy is a monthly beauty box subscription that costs $10 per month. Each month you receive 4-5 full size or deluxe sized products and a makeup bag. This is my favorite beauty box subscription service because you get some brands you recognize and some you don't know.

The makeup bag is cute this month, with a pink zipper and is white on one side and royal blue on the other side.

Mojito Lip Balm- This is a clear lipgloss/ chapstick. It is a little sticky (not to bad though), but I still love this item. You can layer a chapstick, lipstick, and then add this for a little shine without messing up the color.
Price- $12

PacificaNatural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow- This is a pretty big single eyeshadow. You cannot buy single eyeshadows, but you can buy them in a palette. The shade is a pearly, sparkly, pigmented light brown/ skin color. This could be an everyday color or built up for a night out color.
Price- Could not find (eyeshadows not sold personally)

Hikari CosmeticsMechanical Eye Liner- So here is another eyeliner (I am not a huge eyeliner fan) and I feel like every other month I receive a eyeliner from Ipsy. It is a twist up eyeliner and is a [faint] sparkly silver shade. I personally do not know how often I will wear this eyeliner.
Price- $13

La Fresh Eco-BeautyBe Good. Good Day. Day Moisturizer- This is a daily face moisturizer. It is supposed to hydrate your skin and make it look fresher and happier. For the size of the packet, there is not a lot of product. I personally do not like receiving skincare items in Ipsy, because I already have a set routine.
Price- $40

Velvet 59 Velvet Rose Lipgloss- This is a lipgloss with a brush applicator. It is quite sticky, which is why I tend to not wear lipglosses. This is a mauvey shade with a slight pinky undertone and is pretty sheer, so it is good for everyday.
Price- $19

Here is a swatch of the lipgloss, eyeliner, and eyeshadow.

Overall price of bag- $84 (minus the eyeshadow) and I only paid $10!

Thanks for reading! Did you get an Ipsy bag?

Elf Haul

Hi! So I recently ordered some makeup from Elf (eyeslipsface) when they had a good sale. With their already cheap prices, I could not pass up the deal and there had been some products I had been looking at too.

Essential Nail Polish- This is a nail polish and is in the shade smoky brown.

Studio HD Mattifying Balm- This is a clear, mattifying face cream. It comes in a compact with a mirror and face sponge. I am not sure if this is a primer or mattifyer, but I was curious to try this product out with my oily skin. I tried this a couple of times and after 4 times it started leaving little white things on my face.

Essential 13 Piece Face & Lip Palette- I bought this as a Christmas present for my mom. This comes with 4 shimmery cheek colors and 2 mini brushes. Also, there are 9 red/pink sheer lip colors. This is a palette and comes with a mirror on the roof of the palette.

Studio Endless Eyes Pro Eyeshadow Palette- This is a limited edition monster palette with a mini mirror on the top. It comes with tons of colors (from fun colors to neutral colors). The quality of these eyeshadows is not the best, but most of these are colors I'm not going to wear on a daily basis.

Studio Eyebrow Kit- This comes in a compact with a mini double ended brush. I got this is the shade medium and it comes with a light brown powder and a darker brown gel powder.

Studio Moisturizing Lipstick- This is a lipstick that did not feel dry or sticky when I tried it on. The color is kinda sheer, which I like. I got this in the shade pink minx, it is a light pinky shade. I really like the packaging for this product, it looks really sleek and nice.

Studio 50 Piece Makeup Artist Palette- This is a palette with 10 cheek colors (most are kinda more shimmery/ bright than I hoped). It also comes with lots of eyeshadow. The colors are blue to purple to neutral colors.

Kabuki Brush- I got this for free with the order. It is a mini kabuki brush and it is SUPER soft. Although, the brushes are kinda to long and there are to many I really like this brush.

Those are all the things I bought from ELF. I hoped you liked this post and comment any requests/ thoughts down below.

Mini CVS Haul

CVS Mini Haul

Hi! So the other day I went shopping at CVS. Even though I only bought a few things, I wanted to show you guys what I bought.

First, I got the Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Body Wash. This is supposed to help reduce body acne and has exfoliating beads in it. I also bought the Salon Grafix Invisible Dry Shampoo. I have been looking for a dry shampoo that is clear for a long time and was super excited to find this.

Next, I bought the Covergirl Lash Blast Mascara and the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in the shade 40 pink plum. This is a volumizing mascara and a cream blush. I have been looking at both of these products for a long time.

Lastly, I bought 2 NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils in the shades 625 sparkle nude (a shimmery copper-pink [top color]) and 630 cashmere (a shimmery gold [bottom color]).

That is all I bought yesterday at CVS. Hope you enjoyed, thanks.

Ipsy November 2014- Review

Hi! Today I have a review for the Ipsy subscription service bag. This is a monthly beauty box subscription that costs $10 per month. Each month you receive 4-5 full size or deluxe sized products.

1) Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil- This is an olive shimmery eyeliner. I typically do not wear eyeliner just cause it is an extra step that I am not very good at. But this is smooth and pigmented pretty good.
Price: $17

2) J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paint- This is a lip paint (or tar) and IS EXTREMELY PIGMENTED. The bottle is a squeeze bottle so I guess you either use a brush or your finger. The color is a bright pinky red and I don't think I will really use this color because I normally just use a chapstick and maybe a lipgloss.
Price: $5

3)  It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye- This product is a concealer and it matches my skin almost perfectly. It is supposed to be a full coverage concealer, which I really like cause I am not a big fan of foundation. The quality feels good and like it will cover really good.
Price: $24

4) SeaRx Skincare- This is a moisturizer. I received 2 of these, but 1 of them exploded in the bag. I personally do my like getting skincare samples. I have a set skincare routine that works for me.
Price: $32

5) Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan of Volume Shine Hairspray- This is a travel size hairspry. I like getting these travel hairsprays cause they are useful and I travel a lot.
Price: $8

Overall I am excited for the concealer and eyeliner. The hairspray is ok. I do not like the moisturizer and the lip tar is to pigmented. Ipsy this month was pretty good. Below is a swatch of the eyeliner and lip tar.

First Impression

Maybelline Illegal Lengths Mascara

Hi! So today I have my first impression of the Maybelline illegal lengths mascara. This mascara is supposed to lengthen your lashes by 4mm. The price is $9. The packaging of the bottle feels a little cheap and the brush is very long and spidery.

This mascara does lengthen your eyelashes as you can see in the photo above. I really like how this mascara looks my bottom eyelashes because it separates them and gives them a little length and definition and is a pretty small brush. I personally like a lot of mascara on my top lashes and a little on my bottom lashes. The mascara really does lengthen my eyelashes a lot. I feel like my lashes are longer than some mascaras make them. My eyelashes got lots of length, a little definition, but not really any volume. This is a mascara that would work really good as a base to give length, and then put on a volumizing mascara.

I feel like I could put multiple coats of this mascara on before it would get clumpy. I personally would recommend this mascara to a friend if they were looking for mostly length. I am excited to start using this mascara, especially to layer mascaras.

Thanks for reading. If you have any comments or requests comment down below.

Naked Basics- Review

Naked Basics Eye Shadow Palette Review

Hi!  This eye shadow palette is by Urban Decay Cosmetics and goes for $29 at Ulta.  This palette has 6 colors a shimmery white (venus), yellow toned skin color (foxy), pink toned skin color (W.O.S.), light brown (naked 2), a dark brown (faint), and a black (crave).

All of the colors in this palette are super creamy and soft.  I use this palette everyday and it is great for traveling because it is a small palette and has an awesome mirror.  The brown is a great crease and brow color.  Overall, this palette is AWESOME.  It may be a little pricey but it is worth it all because it is a great everyday neutral color palette.
